With a multi-genre upbringing in music, he’s now shifting from initially Pop-sounding songs to more House-heavy tunes while continuing to showcase his roots by implementing traditional Indonesian elements. In 2016, he released the tropical, festive-feeling track “No One Can Stop Us” featuring singer Kallula, rewarding Dipha his first Anugerah Musik Indonesia Award (AMI Award) for Best Music Production. The 2017 follow up “All Good” featuring folk singer Nadin Amizah saw Dipha strengthen his signature style in fusing traditional elements into his music. Proving his formula a success, the track entered Spotify’s Global Viral 50 charts and Apple Music’s Beats 1. Dipha has collaborated with both celebrated Indonesian singers (Raisa, Bunga Citra Lestari) and newcomers (Monica Karina) alike. After signing with USA-based electronic music label ULTRA Records in 2019, “You Move Me” became his first international release, quickly gaining recognition and given an exclusive premiere by Billboard. In early 2020, Dipha flew to ULTRA Studio in Los Angeles and produced “DOWN”, featuring singer CADE, effortly combining his House music influence with further Pop sensibilities. Soon after, he released “DOWN (VIP Remix)”; a club version that gained international fame and support from the likes of David Guetta and Tiesto, plus went TikTok viral. 2021 saw the release of “Flower”; another House-infused Pop track featuring American singer Jackie Castro, which was also extended into “Flower (VIP Remix)”. TikTok users were quick to pick up on this catchy, now-viral tune.
